Background of the layer hen farming project
Agriculture in Nigeria has been developing rapidly, and layer farms in the Ogun region, as part of local agriculture, are actively seeking modern ways to improve their production efficiency and profitability. For a long time, this farm has adopted traditional farming methods, but with the advancement of agricultural technology, they realized that the battery cage system of modern equipment may bring them a greater advantage.

After years of operation, farmers have gradually realized that traditional farming methods not only consume a lot of manpower, but also limit the expansion of production scale. They urgently need a method that can reduce labor costs and improve production efficiency in order to better meet market demand. By looking at other modern farms, they determined that the introduction of a semi-automatic solution to the A Type layer cage system was the key to achieving this goal.
Layer farm project solution
In order to meet the needs of customers, we have designed the overall scheme of the laying hen cage system on the basis of fully understanding the existing chicken houses. Each chicken coop can accommodate 6,000 laying hens according to the layout of A-type layer cages, and the whole project has a total of 2 chicken coops, which can accommodate 12,000 laying hens in total. In order to further reduce manpower input, we provide a semi-automatic feed supply system, which effectively reduces the workload of farm workers.
Device Details
The provided solution consisted of a 4-tier A Type layer cage. Each chicken house is divided into 2 rows, and a certain number of chicken cages are placed in each row to maximize the use of space. In order to ensure the healthy growth of the chickens, we have introduced a feeding cart system, which can automatically deliver food at the right time. In addition, the adoption of the automatic drinking water system also ensures that the chickens can obtain sufficient clean drinking water at any time, thereby improving the breeding efficiency.
Advantages of the chicken farm solution
The layer cage system used in this project has multiple advantages. Among them, the most striking is the choice of chicken cage materials. We choose hot-dip galvanized materials to make chicken cages. This material not only has excellent corrosion resistance, but also can extend the service life of the cages to 15-20 years. This advantage not only brings long-term return on investment for the farm, but also reduces the cost of subsequent maintenance and replacement equipment.
By upgrading the traditional farm operation model to a modern battery cage system, layer hen farms in the Ogun region of Nigeria have successfully improved production efficiency, reduced labor costs, and created more profit opportunities.
